Kurt Sloane is a married MMA champion who has built a new life in the United States after avenging his brother in Thailand. Criminal promoter Thomas Moore drugs him, sends him to a Bangkok prison, and orders him to fight Mongkut, a huge fighter boosted by drugs. Kurt refuses until Moore’s men threaten Liu, his wife, and force him into the match. The film moves through prison brawls, harsh training, a rescue, and a final fight at an old Muay Thai temple. Its tone is violent, loud, and playful, with a clear love of old action movies.
Kurt must use speed, balance, and timing against a much larger enemy. Master Durand, now blind after Moore’s attack, trains him with help from Briggs and other prisoners. Liu is used as the reason Kurt accepts the fight, but she also joins the rescue and supports his choice to return to the ring. The story centers on loyalty, revenge, marriage, courage, and the belief that skill and will can beat size and money.

Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. The separate X pass found no anti-woke reaction. Other public discussion focused on fights, plot logic, acting, and production rumors rather than DEI or identity politics.
0%
