Alan Trong

Personal context

Summary

Alan Trong is an actor whose notable work includes The Sympathizer, Alita: Battle Angel, and the Broadway production An Enemy of the People. His roles and interviews often touch on Vietnamese American family and refugee history, though those credits alone do not establish his politics. He has said representation matters to him and that he hopes younger Vietnamese people can see themselves in his work; he has also called for more opportunities for Vietnamese artists to play complex, fully human characters. No public partisan campaigning or advocacy-group affiliation is on record.
