Avant Strangel

Personal context

Summary

Avant Strangel is an American actor, musician, and voice performer based in Paris, with credits in Missions, La Garçonne, and the animated short Make It Soul. He has described avoiding stereotypical thug, drug dealer, and convict roles and seeking parts that let him explore a wider range. In 2008–09, he chaired the Minority Caucus of Democrats Abroad–France and received a Journal of International Women’s Studies fellowship for a project on domestic violence outreach and education for minority women expatriates. No public statements on DEI, identity politics, or activism beyond that fellowship and caucus role are on record.
