Celyn Jones

Personal context

Summary

Celyn Jones is a Welsh actor, writer, director, and producer who co-founded the production company Mad as Birds. His work includes Set Fire to the Stars, The Almond and the Seahorse, and Madfabulous, with recurring interest in Welsh stories and misunderstood characters. He has described The Almond and the Seahorse as avoiding a non-disabled perspective, and said he wanted Chuck Chuck Baby to give a platform to working-class women’s voices; he has also praised its inclusivity and audiences cheering an ally. His public record includes these representation-focused statements, but no public partisan campaigning or wider political activism is on record.
