Charlotte Riley

Personal context

Summary

Charlotte Riley is an English actor and writer known for Wuthering Heights, Peaky Blinders and Press. Her screen work spans period drama, crime and contemporary stories, with no recurring identity-driven theme defining her public reputation. She has repeatedly campaigned for childcare on film and television sets, arguing that better support for working parents is necessary for gender equality and for more women to work in senior industry roles; she co-founded The WonderWorks to provide that support. No public statements on party politics or race- or LGBTQ-focused activism are on record.
