Dan Byrd

Personal context

Summary

Dan Byrd is an actor known for Aliens in America, Cougar Town, and films including A Cinderella Story and Easy A. His roles range from awkward comic characters to more dramatic leads; in Easy A, he played a gay student facing bullying. In an interview about the film, Byrd said it was unfair that straight actors have more opportunity to play gay characters than gay actors have to play straight characters, and that the imbalance was changing. No public record of broader political campaigning, DEI roles, or sustained identity-based activism is evident.
