Personal context

Summary

David Mitchell is a British comedian, actor, writer, and producer known for Peep Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look, and Would I Lie to You? His comedy often draws on social awkwardness, self-importance, and political argument. In a column, he described gendered expectations around women’s makeup and ageing as arbitrary; his public record contains no repeated advocacy or organizational role on identity, DEI, or activism. He has also publicly opposed Brexit and supported keeping the United Kingdom together.
