Hannah Pilkes

Personal context

Summary

Hannah Pilkes is an actress, comedian, writer, and director known for The Woodsman, Sorry Not Sorry, and her role as Josie on Leanne. Her comedy is largely absurdist and character-driven, and she has described Sorry Not Sorry as a female-driven sketch show. Pilkes publicly identifies as queer and has said that representation of people under threat matters; she hopes her presence as a proud queer person on Leanne helps move the needle. She has also spoken about trans rights and creating safe spaces for people to explore their identities.
