Igal Naor

Personal context

Summary

Igal Naor is an Israeli actor known for House of Saddam, Munich, Green Zone, Homeland, and Fauda. He has often played politically charged Middle Eastern figures and has said he seeks complexity in Arab characters rather than stereotyped roles; he has also turned down roles he considered stereotypical or anti-Israeli. In a 2008 interview, Naor described himself as a Communist and anti-imperialist, criticized U.S. policy in the Middle East, and argued that U.S. support gave Israel little incentive to address the Palestinian issue. No public DEI role or organized identity-advocacy campaign is on record.
