Personal context

Summary

She is known for playing complex, often unsettling women, including in The Piano Teacher, Elle, and Story of Women. Huppert has described giving a female character the central role as feminist and called that “her kind of feminism”; she also signed a letter supporting choreographer Yorgos Loukos after his dismissal over discrimination allegations.
