James Wilks

Personal context

Summary

James Wilks is an English former UFC fighter, martial-arts champion and combatives instructor who became a prominent advocate for plant-based eating after a training injury led him to research nutrition and athletic performance. He produced, narrated and fronted The Game Changers, turning the subject into a sustained public platform through interviews, podcasts, speaking appearances and debates, including a widely discussed appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. He later served as executive producer of Eating Our Way to Extinction. Wilks regularly frames plant-based diets through health, athletic performance, environmental sustainability and animal-welfare arguments, giving him a clear activist public persona, though his advocacy is centered more on veganism and environmental ethics than on race, gender, sexuality or broader identity politics.
