Person profile
Personal context
Jean Dujardin is a French actor and comedian known for Un gars, une fille, the OSS 117 comedies, Brice de Nice and The Artist. His work often uses broad comedy, absurdity and deliberately foolish or self-important male characters; he has described OSS 117 as an idiot whose behavior can be misunderstood. In 2021, he called #MeToo important and said relations between men and women needed to change, while criticizing how the movement had been taken up in France. In a 2025 parliamentary hearing, he recalled calling it “annoying” in an earlier interview, acknowledged that men may have missed things on film sets, and discussed the need for greater awareness. He has supported Action Enfance, a child-protection foundation, as its patron since 2009; no party campaigning or DEI and representation roles are on record.
