Kate Phillips

Personal context

Summary

Kate Phillips is a British actor known for Wolf Hall, The Crown, Peaky Blinders and Miss Scarlet. She often plays composed, layered women, including the headstrong detective Eliza Scarlet. Phillips supported ERA 50:50, a campaign for equal representation of women on stage and screen, and helped prepare its launch presentation for industry professionals. She has said women’s underrepresentation reinforces gender stereotypes and limits the stories that can inspire children; no public record of broader political campaigning or identity-related advocacy is established.
