Personal context

Summary

Katherine Heigl is an actor known for Grey’s Anatomy, Knocked Up, 27 Dresses, and Firefly Lane. Her work includes medical drama and romantic comedy, and she has publicly criticized gendered portrayals of women: she called Knocked Up “a little sexist” and objected to its contrast between “shrewish” women and carefree men. She also spoke out against a co-star’s homophobic slur and said she would speak against bigotry again. Heigl co-founded the Jason Heigl Foundation, which advocates for animal welfare; no party or campaign affiliation or DEI role is on record.
