Kim Sung-ryung is a South Korean actor who rose to prominence after winning Miss Korea in 1988 and later earned recognition for roles in The Chaser, The Heirs, The Fatal Encounter and other film, television and stage productions. She has often played charismatic, successful women and has spoken about the limited stage opportunities available to actresses her age. Kim has served as an ambassador for Plan Korea and donated to earthquake relief in Nepal and Indonesia; since 2021, she has also chaired a campaign supporting children at risk of going hungry.
