Maggie Steed is an English actor and comedian known for television roles in Shine on Harvey Moon, Pie in the Sky, Jam & Jerusalem and EastEnders, alongside extensive stage work. She was active in the Campaign Against Racism in the Media and fronted its 1979 BBC Open Door programme It Ain’t Half Racist, Mum, which challenged racial stereotypes and coverage of black communities in British television.
