Michael Jordan

Personal context

Summary

Michael B. Jordan is an actor and producer known for The Wire, Friday Night Lights, Fruitvale Station, Creed, and Black Panther. His screen work often includes stories of black American life and identity, though credits alone do not establish his personal views. In 2018, he pledged inclusion riders for Outlier Society productions, requiring diversity among cast and crew, and later helped develop a company-wide policy with WarnerMedia. At a 2020 protest, he called on Hollywood to commit to Black hiring; his public record also includes voter outreach, but no sustained partisan campaign role is on record.
