Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine is an actor, playwright, photographer, and documentary filmmaker known for The Chi, Blood Diamond, and his work about Uganda. His plays and documentaries return to stories of migration, HIV/AIDS, Ugandan history, and LGBTQ people. He developed an HIV/AIDS advocacy program in Uganda and created A Missionary Position after interviewing LGBT movement leaders there. He has also publicly argued that film and television should reflect real-world diversity; no public partisan campaigning or political affiliations are on record.
