Summary

Rebecka Hemse is a Swedish actor and director, best known for playing Inger in the Beck films and for her long-running work at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Her stage work includes classical drama and contemporary plays, including works by Sara Stridsberg. Hemse has said that the Beck series was ahead of its time in presenting strong female leaders, and that this felt important; she has also described directing Svindel as a way to give murdered women who are often reduced to “victims” a voice and make their stories matter. No public party or campaign affiliations are on record.
