Shad Moss

Personal context

Summary

Shad Moss, known as Bow Wow, is a rapper and actor whose screen work includes Like Mike, Roll Bounce, and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, alongside comedy, family, and reality television. His acting roles span youth sports stories, broad comedy, and action; his work is not chiefly known for recurring political themes. In 2016, he dismissed voting and said he did not identify with Black political concerns because he was mixed race; in 2020, he said George Floyd’s death changed his perspective, spoke in support of Black Lives Matter, and joined racial-justice protests. His public record includes these race and voting statements, but no sustained advocacy organization role is on record.
