Personal context

Summary

Ted Travelstead is an American writer, performer, actor, and occasional director who developed through theater, sketch comedy, stand-up, bands, magazine writing, and online comedy. He has written for publications including Esquire, Vanity Fair, Radar, and McSweeney’s, co-authored the sex-advice book SEX: Our Bodies, Our Junk, and created satirical material about the David Petraeus scandal. His television writing includes Wilfred, Making History, and animated comedy, while his performance work includes sketch and surreal character comedy. Political subjects appear mainly as targets of satire rather than evidence of sustained activism, and no clear DEI or identity-politics persona is publicly established.
