Personal context

Summary

Tom Basden is a British writer, actor, and comedian known for co-creating Plebs and writing and starring in Here We Go, as well as his work with the comedy group Cowards. His work ranges from character-based sketch comedy and family sitcoms to historical farce and political comedy. He has described Party as a story about how people approach political issues, rather than an attack on public figures, and said he did not feel strongly about the competing candidates in the election discussed in a 2010 interview. No public statements on identity politics, DEI, or activism, or advocacy affiliations on those topics are on record.
