Vijay Raaz

Personal context

Summary

Vijay Raaz is an Indian actor, director, and narrator known for character roles in Hindi cinema, including Monsoon Wedding, Raghu Romeo, Delhi Belly, Gully Boy, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. His work ranges from comedy and crime to social drama; when directing Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, he described it as a story about Partition’s human consequences rather than a political statement. A 2020–21 tax filing recorded a ₹30 lakh deduction claimed for a donation to a political party, though the public record does not establish the party’s ideology or Raaz’s political views. No public statements on identity politics, DEI, or activist causes are on record.
