Personal context

Summary

Willie Garson was an American actor known for playing Stanford Blatch on Sex and the City and Mozzie on White Collar, alongside a long career in film and television. His roles often featured witty, eccentric supporting characters. In a 2010 interview, he said that people should be free to love whom they love and that the film business needed to catch up on gay representation; he later said he avoided emphasizing that he was straight while playing a gay character because he found that practice offensive to gay people. He also supported foster care adoption through You Gotta Believe, where he served as a volunteer advocate.
