Sophia is a grieving mother who rents a lonely house in rural Wales. She hires a harsh occultist named Joseph to lead a long and dangerous ritual from an old magic book. They seal themselves inside for months and face pain, fear, and strange events. She says she wants to reach her dead son, but she also hides a wish for revenge on the people who killed him. The tone is slow, cold, and heavy, built on dread more than quick shocks.
The story stays locked on private loss, anger, and the cost of a wish. Sophia and Joseph fight, suffer, and slowly change as the ritual wears them down. Strange beings appear, and Sophia faces a final choice about revenge or forgiveness. Faith, guilt, and the hard work of the rite sit at the center of every major turn. The film remains a small personal horror story about grief and what a person will risk for one answer.
