Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two follows Bruce Wayne as he hunts the Holiday Killer in Gotham City. The killer murders members of the Falcone and Maroni crime families on holidays. Batman works with Police Commissioner James Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent while mob violence spreads. The film has a dark crime mystery tone, with bloody fights, strange villains, and a tragic ending.
Harvey Dent stands at the center of the story after an acid attack badly scars his face and helps release the Two-Face side he has tried to control. Gilda Dent and the Holiday killings connect the marriage plot to the mob war. Catwoman helps Batman escape Poison Ivy and becomes his close ally as the case reaches its final fight. The story focuses on the two sides of good and evil, revenge, personal failure, and the danger of taking the law into one's own hands.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The film uses established characters such as Catwoman and Renee Montoya in their usual roles. Their identity is not used as a message, and the story does not show a diversity-first casting pattern.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The dialogue stays on murders, mob power, vigilante justice, marriage strain, and Harvey Dent's breakdown. No character gives an activist or identity-politics speech.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The main themes are revenge, personal failure, crime, and the two sides of good and evil. The story does not build its conflict around race, sex, sexuality, or modern identity politics.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. Gotham's police and justice system are weakened by mob pressure and corruption. The film treats that as a crime problem and does not turn it into a modern attack on capitalism, patriarchy, religion, or Western culture.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The film changes some plot details from the comic, including making Gilda the sole Holiday killer and expanding Bruce and Selina's relationship. These are story changes for the adaptation, not identity-driven changes.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
A small geek or podcast account called Part Two “woke trash” and complained that it was Catwoman-centered progressive junk. The available X check found only a handful of small or anonymous complaints. No large anti-woke campaign or organized review-bomb push appeared.

Creator track record context
Tim Sheridan is openly gay and has a clear record of LGBTQ representation work in comics. Julie Osborn has a smaller project about gender stereotypes, while most other listed creators have low cached scores and mainstream craft records. This gives the title a limited creator track record signal, but the film has no matching activist framing.
