Max is a sixth grade boy who wants to kiss a girl at a party but does not know how. He and his two best friends wreck his dad’s drone while spying on teenage neighbors. They skip school and race to fix the mess before his parents get home. Their day fills up with stolen drugs, a mall run, frat house chaos, and lots of crude jokes. The tone is loud, rude, and silly, but the ending turns soft about friendship and growing up.
Most of the movie is about foul jokes and the boys trying to stay friends. Viewers also hear short jokes about school talks on asking before a kiss. Near the end, a quick montage shows one girl leave Max for another girl. Those moments are light and easy to miss. They do not drive the main story of the day-long adventure.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Good Boys.
Woke representation / casting
The three main boys are a mixed modern friend group that fits a normal suburb. A short end montage shows Taylor leave Max for Brixlee, so a girl-girl pairing appears on screen. The movie does not sell diversity as its selling point.
14%
Woke political dialogue
The boys repeat school lessons about asking before a kiss. Lucas stops a practice kiss and says you need consent first. That talk is clear but short and mixed into dirty jokes, not long speeches.
22%
Identity-driven story themes
The core story is friendship, growing up, and crude trouble. Side threads cover consent, anti-bullying, and soft boy feelings versus peer pressure. A brief same-sex pairing for two girls appears in the end montage and adds a light queer beat without becoming the main plot.
34%
Western institutional / cultural critique
The film gently mocks old boy peer pressure and treats rough talk about girls as wrong. School rules and parents are mostly comic obstacles. It is not a hard attack on Western institutions.
14%
Woke character or canon changes
Not present in this title.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. No complaints accused the film of woke messaging; reactions targeted crude kid content instead.
0%
Creator track record context
The writers and director have low woke scores and work in raunchy comedy. Producer Seth Rogen scores higher for separate political views. That context is mild and does not match an activist film team.
