Johnny Knoxville leads old friends and several new performers through stunts that were cut from Jackass Forever. The crew works on closed sets, public streets, and in the air while fear and pain test each person's nerve. Dark Shark faces a bear prank and a skydive even though he is scared of heights. The tone is warm, cruel, gross, and very silly.
The movie gives clear screen time to Rachel Wolfson, the first main woman in the modern crew, and to Black newcomers Jasper Dolphin and Dark Shark. Their roles focus on jokes, fear, and painful stunts instead of their race or sex. The movie asks whether fresh members can fit the old group's risky style. Friendship, trust, and shared pain matter more than any social message.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Jackass 4.5.
Woke representation / casting
Jackass 4.5 adds Rachel Wolfson to a crew that had long been almost all men. It also gives large parts to Black newcomers Jasper Dolphin and Dark Shark, while Eric Manaka joins the wider group. The movie stops early to introduce the fresh cast and explain how each person was chosen. The older male crew still gets most of the screen time, so the wider mix is clear but does not take over the movie.
32%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The film contains no political speeches, campaign talk, or activist claims. The cast talks about stunts, fear, injuries, and friendship.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The movie does not make race, sex, or sexuality part of its main story. The new members prove themselves through the same stunts as everyone else.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The film does not attack Christianity, the family, men, or Western institutions. Its jokes target the crew's bodies and fears.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The movie is an outtake and behind-the-scenes collection about real performers. It does not remake an established character or change source material for identity reasons.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
A few Reddit comments said Rachel Wolfson seemed to be added mainly for diversity because her role was small. Another fan discussion wondered if the wider new cast was meant to protect the series from criticism about its old white male group. These claims were isolated and often discussed Jackass Forever along with its 4.5 outtakes. Larger fan threads and news coverage focused on the stunts rather than a woke agenda.

Creator track record context
Johnny Knoxville has some Democratic campaign activity, but his creative work is mainly stunt comedy. Director Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze have low scores of 5 and 10. Eric André and Sarah Sherman bring stronger progressive records at 47 and 45, while most other writers and producers score 0 to 27. The large group therefore has a low to mild activist record overall.
