Georgia is a college student who learns that she is pregnant just as helpful androids begin killing people. She and Sam, her uncertain boyfriend and the baby's father, spend months hiding before they head toward Boston. The couple crosses forests, ruined towns, military camps, and android territory while Georgia nears childbirth. The movie is a bleak science fiction thriller with a strong focus on fear, love, and family.
Georgia's pregnancy and motherhood drive the whole story. The film gives her most of the hard survival work, even though she is heavily pregnant. She rescues Sam, makes key choices, and keeps moving when he is badly hurt. The film treats pregnancy and motherhood as sources of strength and shows a woman saving her family instead of waiting for a man to save her.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Mother/Android.
Woke representation / casting
Georgia is a white woman and Sam is a black man in the central couple. Arthur is played by Latino actor Raúl Castillo, giving the small main group visible racial variety. The near-future American setting makes these choices believable. The film and its marketing do not frame the casting as a wider diversity message.
12%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The film's dialogue stays on the android revolt, danger, pregnancy, and family. It does not use modern identity, DEI, or activist lines.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Georgia's pregnancy and motherhood drive the whole story. Georgia is repeatedly shown as the rescuer, leader, and fighter, including scenes where she saves Sam while heavily pregnant. The film treats female strength and vulnerability as important parts of survival. This gender-role message is central, even though the story remains a personal family drama rather than a broad activist campaign.
52%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The film blames human arrogance for creating the androids, but it does not attack current Western institutions, capitalism, patriarchy, Christianity, or family life.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The film is an original story with no established character or real historical figure being changed.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. The supplied X research found no anti-woke reaction, and reviewed Reddit and audience comments focused on plot holes, the ending, and the android war. No searched complaint accused the film of pushing woke, DEI, or identity politics.
0%
Creator track record context
The cached creator context rates Mattson Tomlin and the two casting directors low. Most producers also have low or mid-range stored scores. Rafi Crohn has the highest stored score at 40 and has worked on some socially minded projects. The combined context is mild and does not show a strong activist pattern.
