Oxygen follows Elizabeth Hansen, a scientist who wakes inside a sealed cryogenic pod without remembering her past. A calm computer voice called M.I.L.O. tells Elizabeth that the pod is failing and that her oxygen supply is running out. Elizabeth searches her memories, contacts people on Earth, and tries to regain control before the air reaches zero. The story moves from a hospital-like box to a damaged space mission, and the film keeps a tense, lonely, and frightening mood.
The film explores memory, cloning, grief, and the wish to keep living after the world has changed. Elizabeth discovers that she is a clone carrying the original Elizabeth’s memories. The mission will take thousands of clones to a new planet after a deadly virus kills millions on Earth. The movie gives Elizabeth control of her rescue, but it does not turn her struggle into a wider message about gender, race, sexuality, or modern politics.

Alexandre Aja’s record is mainly commercial horror and shows little activist work. Christie LeBlanc has spoken about women’s agency and gender double standards. Noomi Rapace has publicly supported equal treatment for women in film. Most of the other listed producers have little or unclear activist context. This gives the movie mild creator track record context, not a strong activist pattern.
