Saiyaara

Saiyaara follows Vaani Batra, a young writer in Mumbai who is trying to recover after her boyfriend leaves her. She meets Krish Kapoor, an angry musician who needs her words for a song and slowly learns to control his temper. Their work turns into love, but Vaani is then diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, which begins to erase her memories. The film moves from city romance and music work to family pressure, medical fear, separation, and a long search for reunion. Its tone is intense, emotional, and built around songs, tears, and large romantic promises.

The film spends most of its time on illness, care, and the way a troubled man changes when he must stand by a sick partner. Vaani works as a writer and lyricist, speaks up about smoking, late nights, and abusive language, and helps Krish face his father and his own anger. The story still gives Krish most of the public success and often uses Vaani’s illness to drive his emotional journey, so the couple follows a traditional romantic pattern. The main message is that love, music, and shared memories can survive damage to the mind, while family, friendship, and honest care matter more than fame.
