Gu An-na is an artificial intelligence researcher who lives with her young son, Ja-in, in Seoul. A flood caused by an asteroid strike in Antarctica swallows the city and traps them inside a tall apartment building. Security officer Hee-jo tries to lead An-na to the roof because a research mission may help humanity survive. The film begins as a tense rescue story and then turns into strange, serious science fiction about memory, machines, and love.
An-na is a Korean woman who holds the key to the future, and her work drives the main plot. Her bond with Ja-in becomes the key test for an artificial mind that must learn human feeling. The story also shows a research group deciding who can be rescued while ordinary people fight through the flooded building. Its main themes are sacrifice, family love, memory, artificial life, and the meaning of being human.

Anti-woke backlash and complaints
A small conservative X account called the film a “WOKE WOMAN” story about a woman AI programmer and her son. The account received only a few hundred views and had no follow-up. Other public reactions focused on the confusing AI twist and the film’s change from flood survival to science fiction. The available anti-woke complaint record is fringe.

Creator track record context
Not present. The supplied creator context describes commercial genre work and no documented activist, DEI, or culture-war pattern. The title-related interviews discuss love, motherhood, and craft instead of identity campaigns.
