Selene is a vampire warrior called a Death Dealer. Both Lycans and rival vampires hunt her for her blood and for the secret of her hidden daughter. She fights with her ally David and seeks help from a cold Nordic vampire group in the north. The movie is dark action fantasy full of castle fights, secret bloodlines, and power grabs inside the vampire world. The tone is grim, serious, and heavy on battle scenes.
The story stays locked on the long war between vampires and Lycans. Selene faces betrayal from a power hungry vampire leader, nearly dies, and returns with new strength. David learns he is a true heir to the Eastern Coven. A Lycan leader wants hybrid power from Selene’s bloodline. Loyalty, revenge, and who gets to rule the covens drive the plot from start to finish.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Underworld: Blood Wars.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. No forced diversity, no audience-visible identity signaling, and no mismatches with the story world of ancient European vampire covens or Nordic warriors; Selene's competence is earned through centuries of established Death Dealer training and prior blood enhancements.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. Dialogue centers on internal vampire council betrayal, war strategy, and bloodline succession with no modern activist, identity-based, or social-justice content.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. Narrative engine is fantasy species warfare, hybrid powers, personal vengeance, and coven leadership with zero central identity politics or representation messaging.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present in this title.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. Not relevant; continues directly from Underworld: Awakening with consistent character logic, powers, and relationships.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. No significant backlash claiming woke, activist, or left-wing messaging; reactions address plot execution only, with explicit user notes that it avoids woke elements.
0%
Creator track record context
Key creators score low on stored profiles. Foerster has no activist pattern. Producers are mostly commercial genre names with only mild left-leaning notes for Kern. Press noted the first female director of the series, which is a small industry signal, not a strong woke track record tied to this title.
