Reggie, an aging ice cream man, wanders through deserts, hospitals, and strange worlds while he searches for Mike and the Tall Man. The Tall Man is an evil being from another dimension who has spread death, monsters, and ruin across many possible versions of Earth. Reggie cannot tell whether he is fighting a real enemy or losing himself to dementia. The film uses bloody action, odd humor, and dreamlike jumps between realities to tell a final horror adventure about old friends.
The story follows Reggie as he meets Dawn and Chunk, joins a resistance, and travels with Mike through a future where the Tall Man rules. Jody returns to help the group, while Rocky appears after the credits, and each friend faces danger, loss, or an uncertain fate. The film centers on loyalty between friends, the fear of death, the pain of aging, and the need to hold on to memories. Its strange structure makes the viewer question which events are real, but the central fight remains a simple battle against a cruel supernatural enemy.

Creator track record context
Don Coscarelli once noted that non-white people, gay people, women, fat people, and other people who do not fit social norms can face social barriers. That comment was general and did not become an activist campaign or a theme in this film. David Hartman has no clear public record of activist or DEI work. Brad Baruh’s work is mainly production and behind-the-scenes entertainment work. Film interviews focus on horror, friendship, death, and fan loyalty.
