In Istanbul, veteran chief inspector Emin leads a tired homicide team with Salih, Asuman, and Alaattin. The group faces a string of strange murders with no clear clue or useful evidence. Public attention and pressure from police bosses grow as each new body appears. The dark comedy follows their bad methods, short tempers, and frantic search for a killer. The team later brings in Dizdar Koşu, a crime expert who has returned from the United States, but his special methods make the case even more chaotic. The film makes fun of police dramas by showing ordinary workers who are confused, rude, hungry, and often unhelpful. A flirtation between Asuman and Dizdar adds a small romantic comedy thread. The ending gives the strange murders a sad reason because an artist has dressed bodies found in trash to draw attention to people whose deaths were ignored.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for You've Got Murder.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The film uses a Turkish police team in modern Istanbul, with one woman among the officers. The cast is not presented as a diversity message.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The dialogue centers on the murder case, police mistakes, sex jokes, and workplace pressure. No confirmed lines promote modern identity, DEI, or activist ideas.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The story is about a strange murder case, public attention, and the value of noticing unknown victims. It does not build its conflict around race, gender, sexuality, or identity politics.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The comedy mocks a confused police team, its bosses, media pressure, and crime-film clichés. It does not turn those jokes into a modern activist attack on patriarchy, capitalism, Christianity, or Western culture.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The film is an original story about invented police characters. It does not change established characters, source material, or real historical figures.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. No credible public complaint says this film pushes woke, DEI, identity politics, or left-wing messaging. The reaction found is about humor, pacing, and the short final message, while the supplied X pass found no anti-woke complaints.

Creator track record context
The stored context gives Ali Atay and Aziz Kedi scores of 0. The stored context gives Feyyaz Yiğit a low score of 20 and notes his support for Ekrem İmamoğlu as a mild opposition-liberal signal. The same context reports no strong record of DEI, race, gender, sexuality, or organized social-justice activism. That background is weak and does not shape this film’s crime-comedy story.
