Personal context

Summary

Jane Curtin is an actor and comedian known for her work as an original Saturday Night Live cast member and for starring in Kate & Allie and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Her comedy often pairs deadpan delivery with eccentric characters, and she has described early SNL as a boys’ club where some men questioned women’s ability to perform comedy. In a 2018 New Year’s Eve broadcast, she said she wanted the Republican Party to die, clarifying that she meant the party rather than its members. No public DEI affiliations or sustained advocacy on race, sexuality, or identity politics are on record.
