Jim Jefferies

Personal context

Summary

Jim Jefferies is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, and television host known for blunt stand-up about sex, religion, and politics, and for creating and starring in Legit and The Jim Jefferies Show. His public commentary has included a prominent gun-control routine and criticism of Donald Trump; in interviews, he has described the gun-control material as a way to start a conversation. Legit drew on his real-life friendship with a man with muscular dystrophy, and Jefferies said the production cast performers with disabilities. His public record includes political commentary on gun laws and Trump, but no public advocacy roles on identity, DEI, or representation are on record.
