Jimmy Kimmel

Personal context

Summary

Jimmy Kimmel is a comedian, actor, and longtime host of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, whose comedy and celebrity interviews have increasingly shared space with political commentary. He has repeatedly criticized Donald Trump and Republican health care proposals, and urged action on gun violence after mass shootings; in 2024, he interviewed Joe Biden at a campaign fundraiser. His public advocacy is most evident on health care, gun policy, and electoral politics. Public statements focused on DEI or identity-based representation are not a recurring part of his public record.
