Tim Templeton is a stay-at-home dad. His brother Ted is a busy rich boss. They barely talk anymore. Tim’s baby girl Tina turns out to be a secret agent baby, just like Ted was as a kid. She pulls the brothers into a wild mission at Tim’s daughter’s fancy school, where a strange headmaster plans to turn kids against their parents. The movie is loud, silly, and full of slapstick, with a warm family tone and Christmas scenes.
The story is mostly about brothers reconnecting, dads loving their kids, and why parents matter. Viewers will notice a new female Boss Baby, Tina, who runs the mission and is sold in clips as a “girl boss” baby. Director talk framed her as a softer, teamwork-focused contrast to the old hard business style. There is a short school-pageant bit that sings about global warming, played as creepy and odd, not as a lecture from the heroes. The film praises family life over pure money success, including Tim as a stay-at-home dad. A normal kid or parent would mostly see family comedy, not a heavy political push.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for The Boss Baby: Family Business.
Woke representation / casting
Tina is a deliberate female Boss Baby in the lead agent role, pushed as a “girl boss” type. Eva Longoria voices mom Carol in a mostly white Templeton family. Diversity is light and modern, not a heavy race-quota cast. Gender of the new boss baby is the clearest representation choice.
26%
Woke political dialogue
Brief global-warming pageant song (framed as weird/dark school content). Soft lines about money vs family and parents glued to phones. No activist race, gender, or identity speeches as the main talk.
20%
Identity-driven story themes
Core arc is family, sibling repair, and stopping an anti-parent villain. Mild signals: capable girl-agent baby, stay-at-home dad valued over pure CEO life, teamwork-style leadership. Climate is a short joke bit, not the story’s purpose.
34%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Light jabs at phone addiction, pushy elite schooling, and empty rich-career life. Defends parents, rules, and family hard. Not a modern attack on Western faith, men as a class, or traditional family as the enemy.
5%
Woke character or canon changes
Tina is a new character, not a race or gender rewrite of Ted. Ted still appears as adult and baby. Expanding the boss-baby idea to a girl fits “strong female” intent more than swapping a known classic figure.
8%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Only scattered parent posts calling climate gags or “agenda” vibes. No wide right-leaning news storm or organized boycott tied to DEI or identity politics.
5%
Creator track record context
Key people score low on cached records. McGrath and most producers sit near zero activist history. Frazee’s mild progressive book work is the main soft signal and does not drive the film’s plot.
