Román Zaragoza

Personal context

Summary

Román Zaragoza is an actor and producer best known for playing Sasappis on Ghosts and for producing the short film This Is Their Land, about the Modoc people. His public comments and work repeatedly emphasize native representation: he has said he wants children to see themselves on screen and that representation is a major part of his life and the impact he hopes to make. He has also described speaking out about Indigenous rights, inspired by Standing Rock, and about anti-Asian hate. No public partisan campaigning, DEI affiliations, or gender- or sexuality-focused advocacy are on record.
