Sidse Babett Knudsen

Personal context

Summary

Sidse Babett Knudsen is a Danish actor known internationally for Borgen and for roles in Westworld, After the Wedding, and The Duke of Burgundy. Her work spans political drama, comedy, and morally complex characters. Speaking about Borgen, she said she pushed for Birgitte Nyborg to act independently and argued that, in a feminist sense, women should be shown as imperfect and complex rather than confined to idealized or villainous roles. No public party campaigning, DEI affiliations, or broader activist record is on record.
