2020 · Based on 1 season, 9 episodes through September 14, 2020 ·
All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur follows Tottenham Hotspur during the 2019 to 2020 football season in North London. José Mourinho becomes the main figure after chairman Daniel Levy removes Mauricio Pochettino and brings in a new manager. Mourinho tries to lift a tired team toward a place in Europe while injuries, player problems, and the coronavirus shutdown keep changing the season. The tone is tense, loud, and often funny, with dressing-room arguments, hard team talks, and quiet moments with the players. The clearest woke element appears when football returns after lockdown. The narrator says that Tottenham backs the Black Lives Matter movement, and the players kneel before a game while the movement's name appears on their shirts. That moment supports an activist message about race, but it lasts for only a short part of one episode and does not drive the season. Most of the show follows Mourinho's tough leadership, transfers, injuries, player form, club money, the new stadium, and the fight for Champions League or Europa League football.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The show follows real Tottenham players and staff, so their varied national backgrounds come from the club rather than identity-driven casting. The marketing presents access to the team, not a diversity goal.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Episode 8 includes one spoken narrator statement that Tottenham backs the Black Lives Matter movement. The players then kneel and wear the movement's name on their shirts. This is a clear activist message, but it appears in only one short sequence.
23%
Identity-driven story themes
Episode 8 briefly links the team's return after lockdown with support for Black Lives Matter. The players present the message as a sign of unity. The rest of the season focuses on football results, injuries, transfers, leadership, and the coronavirus shutdown.
24%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The show does not attack Christianity, family life, Western institutions, or traditional gender roles. Mourinho's talk about toughness and aggression is sports motivation, not modern activist critique.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The documentary follows real people in their real roles and does not rewrite established characters or historical figures.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. Public criticism focused on the polished editing, missing Pochettino footage, and public-relations feel. No meaningful anti-woke complaint was found, and the X research pass reported none.
0%
Creator track record context
Anthony Philipson has a stored woke score of 19 and no known activist record. Mark Raphael has a stored score of 0 and a factual entertainment career. Clare Cameron has a stored score of 52 because some past documentaries cover feminism, gender politics, race, class, and social change. Her work is broad, and this series has little activist content.
