2022–2023 · Based on 2 seasons through September 6, 2023 ·
I Am Groot is a set of ten very short animated stories about Baby Groot, a small tree creature from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Groot lives on a space ship and spends his time exploring, making messes, and getting into trouble. He meets tiny aliens, a shape-shifting creature, a strange egg, and a snowman robot. The tone is bright, silly, and built around physical comedy.
The stories show Groot learning about care, limits, curiosity, and friendship. He adopts a creature that comes from an egg, tries to help tiny aliens, and paints a family picture of the Guardians. He also chases an ice cream truck, fights a snowman robot, and follows a prophecy that treats a great hero story as a joke. The show keeps these ideas simple and playful, with most lessons coming from Groot's own mistakes.

Creator track record context
James Gunn's cached score is 48, and Kevin Feige's is 49. Victoria Alonso's cached score is 60 because she has strongly supported diversity and LGBTQ representation across Marvel. Kirsten Lepore's cached score is 5, and her public work is mainly animation craft. This gives the production a moderate background signal, but the shorts themselves do not carry that message.
