2022 · Based on 1 season, 10 episodes through October 20, 2022 ·
Little Demon follows Laura Feinberg, a tired single mother who has spent 13 years hiding her daughter from Satan. In a small Delaware town, thirteen-year-old Chrissy starts seventh grade and learns that she is the Antichrist. Her first period unlocks violent powers, while Satan returns and asks for time with her and control of her soul. The family moves between school, the human world, Hell, and strange other realms in a loud, bloody, and crude comedy.
The show makes puberty, motherhood, and female power part of its main story instead of background details. Laura is a skilled fighter who protects Chrissy, and Chrissy learns to control a power linked to her changing body. The show also jokes about period shame, bodily consent, and the pressure placed on women and single mothers. In one late episode, Laura has a sexual relationship with the female Sea Hag, giving the season a clear bisexual storyline. These themes matter, but the series stays focused on a broken family, dark jokes, gore, and supernatural fights.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Little Demon.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The main family is white, and side characters include people from different backgrounds. The show does not make casting or diversity a major part of its story.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Chrissy uses body possession, and Bennigan says she needs consent before entering another person. The episode connects that joke to bodily control. The season does not build a larger political debate around the idea.
15%
Identity-driven story themes
The show makes puberty, menstruation, and womanhood central to Chrissy’s first powers. The show repeatedly presents Laura as the skilled protector while Satan acts as a manipulative father. Episode 9 gives Laura a full sexual relationship with the female Sea Hag and leaves their bond open for more. The season treats these ideas as part of family comedy, but they remain clear audience-visible themes.
45%
Western institutional / cultural critique
The show turns Christian ideas into dark comedy by making Satan a funny father and Hell a place he calls misunderstood. The show also makes religious hunters and angelic figures look violent, strange, or foolish. Laura carries the family’s protection while Satan lies and fails as a parent. These jokes recur, but the story does not connect them to a broad real-world political campaign.
30%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. Little Demon is an original story about Laura, Chrissy, and Satan. It does not change a known character or real historical figure.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. Reported complaints focused on Satanic imagery, adult content, and religion. No clear anti-woke or DEI backlash was found.
0%
Creator track record context
The three creators have little documented activist history in the stored record. Darcy Fowler has a mild link to women and representation themes through GLOW. Aubrey Plaza, Danny DeVito, and Dan Harmon bring some left-leaning or social-issue context through their public work. The record is mixed and does not show a strong activist pattern from the whole team.
