2 Hearts follows Chris Gregory, a college student who falls in love with Sam while helping other students get home safely. A second story follows Jorge, a wealthy Cuban businessman with a serious lung illness, and Leslie, a flight attendant he meets in the 1970s. The film moves between the modern college world and Jorge's earlier life as the two romances slowly connect. Chris then faces a sudden medical crisis that changes both families. The tone is soft, polished, and very emotional.
The movie includes a Cuban lead, an Asian American college friend, and two couples from different generations. These characters share the screen as part of the two family stories. The main message praises love, family, sacrifice, faith, and the choice to donate organs. Chris's death gives meaning to Jorge's survival and brings the families together. The film uses romance, grief, and hope to present one person's death as a gift that keeps helping others.

Creator track record context
Carla Hool has publicly supported greater diversity and accurate Latinx representation. Lance Hool, the writers, and most producers have little or no documented activist pattern, while Judy Lee and Aaron Au show only modest representation-related activity. This gives the creative team a low supporting signal.
