Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya follows a small-town detective in Nellore who calls himself Agent and runs the FBI, or Fatima Bureau of Investigation, from a shabby office. Athreya spends his days solving tiny cases with his assistant Sneha while waiting for a serious mystery. A dead body near a railway track pulls him into a case involving missing people, false clues, and a plan to frame him for murder. The film mixes local comedy with a dark and tense crime story, while Athreya’s grief over his mother slowly becomes part of the case. The case reveals a criminal business that uses religious belief, charity work, and funeral customs to deceive families. The group dumps unclaimed bodies beside railway tracks and steals fingerprints to help other criminals. Athreya connects the scheme to the way his own mother’s body was handled after her death. Sneha helps him follow the clues, and Vasudha turns out to be a clever former student who helped lead the operation.
