Aidan is a young man living in a Los Angeles apartment when a fast virus turns people into violent cannibals called Screamers. He locks himself inside, counts his food and water, and tries to reach his family while the building fills with danger. After his parents die, he nearly gives up until he sees Eva alive in a nearby apartment. The film is a tense survival horror story that mixes blood, fear, loneliness, and a small thread of romance.
The film treats isolation, grief, fear, and human contact as its main ideas. Aidan begins as a frightened young man who thinks about ending his life, but he slowly becomes willing to risk himself for Eva. Eva manages her own apartment, keeps a routine, and survives the crisis while the two build a romance through signs and notes. The 2020 release makes quarantine and social distance feel familiar, but the story stays a personal zombie thriller about loss, hope, and survival.

Creator track record context
Johnny Martin’s stored score is 7/100 and Matt Naylor’s is 5/100. Their records center on genre film, action work, documentaries, and community TV. Tyler Posey’s stored score is 30/100 because of public queer and ally statements, but Alone interviews frame the film around grief, isolation, and survival. The wider creator record gives only a weak signal.
