Andre the Giant follows André Roussimoff, a French farm boy who grows into a world-famous wrestler and actor. His acromegaly makes his body huge, but it also brings pain, health problems, and a short life. The film moves from rural France to wrestling halls across the United States and to his North Carolina home. It has a warm, funny tone, but it becomes sad as Andre loses his strength and dies alone in Paris.
The film centers on the gap between the public giant and the quiet man who wanted a normal life. It shows how promoters turn his size into a business, how cable TV helps Vince McMahon build a national wrestling company, and how the Hulk Hogan feud creates a huge public story. Andre's role in The Princess Bride adds a lighter part of his life. His daughter, family, friends, and fellow wrestlers show the cost of fame, travel, pain, and being treated as a spectacle.

Creator track record context
Jason Hehir's public work is mainly factual sports documentaries, and his title interviews describe a human-focused aim. The other key creators have no strong identity-activist record in the supplied profiles. Bill Simmons has one mild diversity-related workplace issue in his record, but that later issue does not shape this film.
