Bob, known as the Bobfather, brings six old friends back together after a five-year break. The friends enter a private contest with rough games, dirty jokes, and a $150,000 prize. The contest also gives Shelly a reason to leave a dark time after his wife leaves him. The film moves between crude shock humor, fights, drinking, and a softer message about staying loyal to old friends.
Most of the story follows a group of men who treat winning, sex, and male pride as their main concerns. The movie includes one brief gay coming-out moment near the end, and the scene is played for a joke rather than as a long identity story. Olivia Munn plays Bob's girlfriend, but the film gives her little story outside the romance and a few physical comedy scenes. These identity and gender elements are visible, but the film's main message remains friendship, competition, and keeping a youthful bond.
