Darc follows Jake Walters, a hard and violent ex-con who uses the name from the comic book he read as a child. An Interpol agent gets him out of prison and asks him to enter the yakuza to find the agent’s kidnapped daughter. Darc accepts because the same crime boss was tied to the death of his mother, who was abused in a Tokyo brothel. The story moves between Vancouver crime clubs, Japanese gang meetings, and memories of Darc’s childhood, and it keeps a dark, bloody revenge tone.
The film centers on human trafficking, sexual abuse, kidnapping, and the fight to protect women from a criminal network. Darc is a male fighter who uses violence, undercover work, and revenge to reach the gang leaders. The women in the story are mainly victims, witnesses, or people Darc tries to save, while the yakuza and rival gangs drive the danger. The movie treats the trafficking ring as cruel organized crime and keeps its focus on revenge, family, loyalty, and survival.

Creator track record context
Julius R. Nasso has a limited civil-rights and charity link through Harry Belafonte. Tony Schiena has a strong anti-trafficking and human-rights focus. Neither record shows a clear DEI, queer, or identity-politics pattern, while Dennis Venter has no clear activist record. These mild human-rights links keep the factor low.
